My Approach
Restoring Movement, Relieving Pain:
My Manual Therapy Approach
Forgive me if I sound like a self-help book, but this really is true when it comes to health: Every person is unique, and so is their path to recovery.

When I began my physiotherapy career more than 15 years ago, I noticed a common pattern: patients often received the same treatment plan, no matter their story. It was like prescribing one outfit to fit all body types.
But pain isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s personal, complex, and requires an approach tailored to each person. Spoiler alert: Generic fixes usually don’t work.

Sadly, this approach was (and sometimes still is) pretty common in physiotherapy. I remember feeling like I was wasting my time — and my patients’ time. I wanted to flip the desk. (Okay, maybe less dramatic than that.)
So I decided to build a different kind of practice — one that truly focuses on you, the patient.

My work blends advanced, hands-on techniques with a deep understanding of how your body moves, so you can feel better, move easier, and get back to the things you love (or at least the version of yourself you miss!).
Over the years, I’ve trained extensively in:
-
Global Postural Re-education (GPR) — a gentle yet powerful approach that looks at the whole body to correct posture, rebalance muscles, and improve flexibility. Especially effective for chronic pain and recurring injuries.
-
Neuro-musculoskeletal Manual Therapy — hands-on techniques that restore joint mobility, reduce muscle tightness, and promote healthier movement patterns.
-
Myofascial Induction — works on the fascia — the connective tissue surrounding muscles and organs — to release restrictions that cause pain, tension, or limited mobility.
-
Craniosacral Therapy — a light-touch technique that eases tension around the brain and spinal cord, supporting relaxation and the body’s natural healing processes.
-
Functional Dry Needling — uses fine needles to target tight or irritated muscle spots (trigger points), helping them release and relieving pain.

Along with other evidence-based techniques, I tailor treatments to help each patient recover more effectively.

Once a nerd, always a nerd — I’m constantly deepening my knowledge of the body, physiotherapy, and the best ways to provide care. Because living with pain, remembering the things you used to do, or dreaming about what you want to do — that’s no fun at all.
